About The Artwork
Erin Wolf's latest series, "Explore More: An Ode to the California Landscape," was born out of her fascination with the rugged beauty of Southern California. Using acrylic shapes, Wolf constructs three-dimensional versions of her abstracted landscapes, allowing her to break free from the constraints of traditional rectangular frames. Through the transparency of the layers, natural light permeates her work, creating a dynamic interplay between the art pieces and their surroundings. As the light changes throughout the day, so too do Wolf's pieces, evoking a sense of fluidity and transformation. Inspired by the rich landscapes of Southern California, Wolf simplifies the scenery into geometric shapes and organic lines, infusing her work with a sense of movement and vitality. She has titled this body of work "Explore More" as a reminder to embrace change and celebrate the ebb and flow of life. Through her art, Wolf invites viewers to embark on their own journeys of exploration and discovery, and to find beauty in the ever-changing landscape of our world.

Erin Wolf grew up in New Jersey, and received her BFA from Montserrat College of Art with a concentration in photography and art education. Upon graduation, Wolf moved to Los Angeles, California where she currently creates and teaches visual art on the west side. Wolf received her master’s degree in art education from Boston University in December 2018. Her work takes inspiration from southern California’s natural landscape and it takes shape in her current series. www.erinrwolf.com
