.. An olive tree, somewhere in Provence... Weiwei fallen from Heaven... The interaction of works... A barbed jar... Spikes stuck in a nest like splinters in a cradle... No way should the bird be let free to fly away... Feathers clipped off with a sickle, hammer blows on the legs...

About The Artwork

Being born in a free country is not given to all humans ...
This artwork is my fight for the human rights and freedom expression.
A homage of the great artist Ai WeiWei and his lifelong work who keeps on trying to make the world be a little bit fairer.
THE FIGURE OF THE JARS OF FREEDOM
... An overturned Coke bottle… A message in a jar... An invisible dialogue... Weiwei Super-alive... Warhol Resurrected... The Echo of the Ws... The reflections of logos... The resonance of Art... "A game between all men of all times", Duchamp enjoyed saying…
... An olive tree, somewhere in Provence... Weiwei fallen from Heaven... The interaction of works... A barbed jar... Spikes stuck in a nest like splinters in a cradle... No way should the bird be let free to fly away... Feathers clipped off with a sickle, hammer blows on the legs...
... Choke Freedom ‘in the bud’. Make sure it won’t have any offspring... A message in a jar, on The Chinese Sea, that not so gentle one… No right to say, no right to contradict, no right to act. Only to counterfeit... Freedom: impossible to imitate... Not even in dreams! Forbidden by the Party.
... A gag dipped in paint... A middle finger lacquered on a wall... "Fuck" can only be said in English... A multi-coloured Mao with Warhol… A blanching Mao with Weiwei... Children are trained, dissidents are corrected, but poets can never be re-educated.
... A jar in Provence... A crown of thorns for the Antichrist... Weiwei will never go to Red heaven! Free, released from the barbed wire … Marcel could have made him a necklace with it. Art to create Freedom.
... A nest in Provence, Springtime in Beijing... Ai Weiwei, a naked "Artivist", without feathers and without illusions... A smile behind a beard... A beautiful crate, to pack up with, and leave…

French artist born in 1954, He lives and works between Prague (Czech Republic), Budapest (Hungary) and Aix-en-Provence (France).▪️A Multifaceted Artist Self-taught, atypical, and iconoclastic, Denis Defrancesco uses a whole range of techniques and materials to give form to his ideas, fantasies, and anxieties. A great ape in bronze, a giant plexiglass rabbit, a blow-up doll made of marble, a plastic Obama, a steel machine for slicing memories, a urinal in oil paint... He keeps giving the world his own twist, transfiguring reality to tell us stories: a childhood fear, a teenage memory, a passionate love affair, time fleeting, the body declining, death lurking. It is pop, electric, often bold, and always free. His work, both carnal and scientific, blends bronze with marble, paint with plexiglass, steel with plastic. He likes nothing more than mixing genres and spurning styles. Denis Defrancesco is an exalted introvert, an exhibitionist full of modesty, who creates an eclectic, surprising, insolent, and personal body of work with his monumental sculptures, 3-D paintings, and metamorphosized idols. A text accompanies each of his sculptures and paintings, like the key to a specific story. ▪️Private gallery in Aix en Provence (France)
