About The Artwork

** The piece will be sent with a certificate of authenticity in a crate** On the 6th and 9th of August, 1945, the United States threw atomic bombs that were equivalent to 20,000 tons of dynamite destructive to the Hiroshima and Nagasaki cities of Japan. Sadako Sasaki is a two-year-old girl on this date. However, when She was 12 years old, he was suddenly ill with the effect of radiation 10 years ago. When Sadako was diagnosed with blood cancer, which was called ’atom bomb disease, by the doctors, the legend of cranes that symbolize long life, happiness, hope, and luck come to life again. According to the legend of the thousand cranes, if the sick person makes a thousand crane birds, the gods will fulfill this person's wishes and bring him to his health. Then Sadako has begun for paper birds made of origami with the desire for living, and with the birds talking while folding, “I will write “peace” your wings so that you will fly all over the world” • However, Sadako’s short life is not enough to fold 1000 cranes. On 25th, 1954, She dies without completing 644 paper cranes to 645. This story constitutes the building blocks of my work. Through means of these some narratives of the past, I intend to centralize the emphasis of imperfection by competing for 100 cranes that aren’t able to achieve with my own art discipline. Folding a 100 paper crane is an action against war for me. This action also a connection between Sadako and me and all the children who exposed to war.
