ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is an installation made up of 8 individual pieces measuring 11x14x1 each. Easy to ship in a compact box. The technique used is encaustic collage, which means pieces of handmade paper are glued to the gessoed wooden base with a mix of melted beeswax and damar resin (natural hardener). The unique texture of the paper and the waxy effect of the finished pieces are only some of the delightful and complex details. The random designs of the black ink on the wax surfaces is gestural and adds an expressive touch to the minimalistic design of the collage.

I see myself as an adventurous artist. The media I use in my studio span in history from the Ancient Greeks to the latest technology and app: this keeps my mind open and makes me feel that everything in-between is possible. I create videos for private and corporate clients in the Chicagoland and then I mix beeswax and damar resin to create paintings and assemblages in the original Roman technique of 'Encaustic' with a contemporary twist. I work following my free inspiration, participate in film festivals, exhibit in art galleries, and also take on commission work from clients who want to embark on creative adventures with me.
