Allées des Boulingrins Artwork - Limited Edition of 5

I always like to work on the idea of in-between space, being physically present in one space but mentally elsewhere. This is this surreal state of day-dreaming that I’m trying to represent on my collages. The juxtaposition in my works often explores the relationship between heaviness and lightness, presence and absence⁠. The idea of being in two states, being here physically and somewhere else mentally. Being in a space physically and not being aware of your surroundings as the mind drifts elsewhere is something that we’ve all experienced. All my artworks are printed on Giclee paper. This paper has a strong mottled texture and is able to hold strong colours and deep blacks that feel rich and high in contrast. This is due to the texture of the paper enabling it to hold more ink and capture the light. With its weight and strong texture this paper gives an artwork a handmade crafted feel.
