The genesis of the Audubon Park Eggs Collection is a set of digital photographs taken by the artist during a walk in the Audubon Park of New Orleans. The park is an oasis of tranquility in the center of the city and their memorable 100-years-old oaks, lagoons and open spaces entice visitors to relax and contemplate the beauty of nature. In the works of art, the digital impressions of the oaks' branches and foliage were superimposed ensuring symmetry in the artistic compositions. Subsequently, the artist experimented with the use of textures and colors applying filters and digital effects inside egg shaped silhouettes that remind us of the famous ones by Karl Fabergé.

"...each blank canvas triggers a journey into the unknown, a process of exploration and discovery" My inclination for the visual arts started when I was a child. I recall the earliest memory at 5 or 6 years of age when I first drew the branches and leaves of a tree instead of a "green cloud" attached to a trunk. Since then, nature has been a recurring theme in my art work: the huge and leafy trees of Venezuela, the magic of the cloud forest, the dark green mountains, the hidden beaches and the sea. I've been a person of multiple interests. During adolescence I wanted to become an architect, a computer engineer and an archaeologist. My professional career as an engineer and manager has had many facets; however, throughout my life the artist within has been present, silently working, relentlessly experimenting. Drawing and painting have been a need, like breathing, and a joy, like a never-ending adventure. A need to express myself visually that comes from very deep inside, paired with a strong desire to experiment and discover. And between those two, the wonders of creation transpire! Each blank canvas triggers a journey into the unknown, a process of exploration and discovery. At the age of 15, I received formal drawing classes. Nonetheless, my knowledge and techniques are fundamentally self-taught. I feel deep admiration for J. M. W. Turner, Claude Monet and Marc Chagall. I admire their mastery in the use of color and in the creation of atmospheres. My work has influence of them, as well as of many others. I has worked with oil, acrylic and watercolors media, and with photography, for almost 40 years now. As Computer Engineer, I got myself into the Computing Graphics and Arts field, developing graphic applications, while learning digital art and photo tools. In my recent work I combine both, the use of traditional and digital media. I'm fascinated with the creative process. During lifetime we go collecting knowledge, skills, ideas, images and impressions and then we merge them with the ones already in ours brains, in a unique and unrepeatable process of creation.
