Avolition Artwork

"Avolition" is the inaugural piece in my series, "Chromological Disorder," marking the genesis of my artistic journey. This artwork holds a profound personal significance, intertwined with a transformative period in my life. Upon graduating from law school, I found myself at a crossroads, grappling with a sense of disconnection and yearning for self-expression. The beginning of that year was marked by the loss of my beloved grandmother, whose legacy was a box of meticulously preserved Soviet-era embroidery threads. It was during a moment of introspection and longing for connection that I decided to breathe life into an unfinished canvas using those very threads. The act of embroidery, a skill I had cherished since middle school, resurfaced as a source of solace and creativity. "Avolition" captures the essence of rediscovery and the rekindling of a passion long dormant. This artwork reflects the fusion of tradition and personal history with the canvas as my chosen medium for storytelling. The intricate threads, woven with nostalgia and emotion, symbolize the tapestry of my life experiences.
