ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This piece is part of a series created to evoke a sense of lightness and joy. I called it the "Bright Place" series. I am endlessly inspired by the way color affects our emotions and use my work to call in more peace, calm, joy and fun. Embroidered lines are incorporated to add textural dimension. It is also a way to elevate a traditional women's craft into the realm of contemporary fine art. (note: there is no physical embroidery present in the fine art print)
