Born and raised in Madrid, Hector Gonzalez. Being a multi talented autodidact in the fields of art and electronic music, has been influenced from the start by the artistic talent present in his family over generations. His grandmother Teresa Fernandez. She has been painting until she died at the age of 79 y/o, even when she was seriously suffering from Parkinson. During the painting process she could astonishingly control the tremble and her studies of folkloric scenes, landscapes and people from Asturias (North of Spain) are vital credentials of high craftsmanship and after all the victory of artistic power over sickness. Hector's father, Jose Gonzalez has proven to have the same talent and moving from Madrid to Asturias, also dedicated himself to the motives of his surroundings. Furthermore his aunt Concepcion Fernandez is active and successful as a painter since more than a decade, drawing more and more public attention to her work, that has been exhibited by now various times, latest in 2007 (Cangas del Narcea / Asturias). Hector himself, who has always felt a strong urge to widen his personal and professional horizon, moved to Germany and started a career as freelanced artist and painter. His imitativeness and fantasy provide him with a never ebbing source of motives from stills over geometric forms to abstract fantasies. Recently mostly using Acrylics he is experimenting with other colors and methods as well and is right now preparing a serial of motives from his home country, in an individual, distinctive and unmistakable manner. Be curious about it.
