I am a mom of two and I am an artist with a diverse range of skill and a particular fondness for the transformative art of mosaics. Originating as a portrait artist, my journey took an unexpected turn when I found myself residing in Holland in 2009, where I became captivated by the intricate world of mosaic art. Since that pivotal moment, my artistic focus has centered on reinventing the traditional mosaic form, infusing it with three-dimensionality and interactivity. Over the past decade, I have honed my craft by incorporating resin into my mosaic works, resulting in the integration of dynamic lighting and effects. My approach is aimed at engaging viewers and compelling them to interact with the pieces I create. I am continually pushing myself to translate the vivid images in my mind into tangible and captivating and unique art forms. When I am not fulfilling my maternal duties, you will often find me engrossed in my studio, tirelessly exploring new avenues of creativity and striving to exceed the boundaries of conventional artistic expression. An enduring passion for the vastness of the ocean has become a recurring motif in my work, where I find limitless inspiration and a profound sense of wonder. I approach my creations with childlike curiosity, infusing whimsical elements into my oceanic depictions. As an artist, I embrace challenges with enthusiasm, and my artistic versatility has allowed me to undertake various commissioned projects, showcasing my ability to adapt and create diverse works of art. My favorite quote that most accurately describes my approach in life and in my art was once said by Dzigar Kongtrul Rinposche: “You as a salt being, made of salt, go fathom the depth of the ocean, and in the process, you yourself dissolve.” I thrive in dissolving creative boundaries.
