Showed at the The Other Art Fair
New Media: Digital and Manipulated on Other. My work is more about the viewer than me, hence I don't give the work descriptive names to leave it to the viewer to figure out what she or he sees out of the work. the work is hand drawn digital image it is printed on heavy art paper. The work is only printed once as I feel that the work should be one of a kind rather than mass produced. All the work that I make is done in small series.

I am an Icelandic artist who lives and works in London as an undergraduate in photography at the interactive design institute (University of Hertfordshire). My background of creating computer music and being a software developer can be seen in my art as it is in one way or another digitally produced. My process is to hand draw digitally a image and then construct or/and manipulate it in various software before printing it out on photographic paper. All my art is done in small series and each of work is only printed once. I often use the same illustration in different way in various pieces as I for me my images represent caption of a memory or a though that can be viewed in multiple ways. I leave my art open interpretation by giving the series none descriptive names. I create art that draws the viewer in with abstract lines, hypnotic shapes and bold colours that reveal something new in the work to the viewer the longer they look at the work. My art has common theme that goes through the series that can be grouped so far into: construction of identity, construction of nature and construction of digital void. The most important for me is that I progress and develop as an artist there for I do not focus too much on the medium that I use. The whole process is more about the creativity and end result rather than the journey that takes to get there. One of the goals with my art has always been to create something that does not already exist and by creating it I bring something new into world. I believe that everything has been leading up to this moment so lot of my effort end up being failed experiments that make the foundation of my current work.
