On Tuesday, the last drawing of the season took place. Usually on this day, the artists draw at a more relaxed way: the breaks between drawing sessions are longer, everyone is socializing more and thinking about the summer holidays. A month ago I got inflammation in the elbow joint of my right arm (after a good day's work in the garden) and have been working for the past few weeks thanks to painkillers. As a result, my ability to draw has been significantly reduced... but that's just the little things in life. When you have such a beautiful woman posing for you, it's impossible to resist - you just sit and draw.... The result is a light portrait of Eve, slightly irregular in shape, but (I think) beautiful and conveying the mood of summer. I look forward to our next meeting. Have a good summer, dear friends! The drawing was sketched from real model in class. This is a one-of-a-kind drawing made by me in tempera, gouache and colored pencils on 340 gsm. cardboard. The drawing was fixed with professional spray varnish for gouache drawings for preservation. The image is signed by hand on the front side. Not framed. Do not hesitate to contact me should you have any questions.

For the past few years, I have been concentrating on the theme of animate and inanimate nature. Starting with the theme of roots and delving into the beauty and variety of small details of flowering meadows. In the context of nature, I include lonely images of people as an integral part of the living world. In depicting human beings, for me, it is not only their physical beauty that is important, but also the transmission of their momentary mood, psychological well-being. Sometimes in my drawings I allow myself to be ironic about myself and what I find funny or remarkable in other people. But at the same time, I consciously avoid depressive and aggressive images, because it contradicts my inner ethic not to multiply the violence in the world. I would like to classify my work as Magical Realism, but I think my work reflects more of a psychological Existentialism, looking for its embodiment in natural motifs. 1995-1999 studies at Vilnius Academy of Arts and in 1999.
