I am a Romanian visual artist working primarily with hand-painted textiles, reclaimed materials, and traditional symbols, reinterpreted through a contemporary and intuitive language. My practice is rooted in folklore, myth, and rural memory, and is shaped by slow, tactile processes. I work with natural fabrics, old hemp, found wood, and materials that already carry a history. Many of the textiles I paint on were handmade by my grandmother. Working on them is not an act of nostalgia, but one of continuity and respect, a way of allowing her hands to move forward through mine. For a long time, this connection lived quietly within me. It was only after returning to the countryside that I fully understood my work as an offering to nature, to the land, to cycles, to what sustains life. My art comes from repetition, from patience, from gestures learned by watching hands that worked the earth and created meaning through daily rituals. Although this has always been my inner language, I have been consciously developing this artistic practice over the past three years. I see my work as a way of keeping these materials alive, resisting disappearance, and honoring what is essential: nature, the body, the soul, food, home, and genuine human presence. I have participated in several group exhibitions during my academic years. Open to commissioned works.
