Susan Nash was born in London, but lives and works in Madrid. She has exhibited her work in Madrid, Barcelona, Granada, Santander and many other Spanish cities, as well as in Germany, Argentina, Italy, Switzerland, Portugal, Luxembourg, Slovenia, Morocco and the Dominican Republic. Her work has appeared in various Spanish publications, and some examples are included in Antología de la poesía visual (Víctor Pozanco, Biblioteca de Ciencias y Humanidades, Barcelona, 2005). She has recently contributed to the design of a monument to the victims of the 11-M terrorist attack. Nash has for many years practiced a "botany of the asphalt", collecting abandoned objects which are then used in her constructions, after suffering an aberrant restoration that seeks to open a space between found geometry and shameless invention. This habit of recontextualization, together with a liking for the contradictory, the tension between attraction and repulsion, the mutual infestation of found languages, persists in the digital and installation work on which she has been concentrating recently.
