Leather string mosaic, Jaguar. Artwork

Hi, i'm Stanislav Tykhonov, artist\craftsman from Ukraine. I create Leather String Mosaics using my own technique of mosaic making. It took me over 15 years to develop this technique to the current level, and I'm still in the process :) I'm thrilled about high contrast shapes, attempts to depict air and about many many other more invisible things which I'm going to explore. Creation of such mosaic is very painstaking process, for understanding it usually takes 700-800 hours of handwork to finish 30x30 inches piece, so I'm unable to produce more than 3-4 works per year. Besides ready-to-buy works I also enjoy creating custom-made commission portraits, positioning them as unique gifts for milestone dates. And, of course, I use high quality materials, like expensive fine leather (may be even at your choice), professional paints and other leather-care products.
