I seek to appropriate algorithms of geometric transformations in order to give shape to information, sometimes textual, sometimes mathematical. Paradoxically, the combination of simple technical modifications, such as symmetries and rotations, with random, fractal, chaotic or serial interventions, results in surprisingly "natural" results. I therefore seek by relatively complex means, to arrive at simple and harmonious proposals. This complexity, however, I approach it quite naively: I developed my own drawing programs, written in C++, with the errors accompanying a "naive" programming. Moreover, when it comes to text, these interventions play on the limit of readability, the text being for example transformed into braille, the resulting forms then being subjected to various processes. Illisibility thus determines an area halfway between form and text, neither pure abstraction nor clear intelligibility. This algorithmic work has its origins in a completely different field, the development of stochastic and serial music processes, another field of interest for me, as i devise electronic instruments. This last interest has resulted in a visual counterpart that aimed at first at verifying the results, development that took its own path in the series proposed here. As the title indicates, this series is inspired by Aristid Lindenmayer who developed L-system based on behaviour of cells of plants. This artwork is laser engraved on 300gr art paper. Limited edition of 3. Some burn effects from uncontrollable aspect of laser engraving machine results in slightly different artworks from one another. Signed and numbered.

born in 1976 in Ath. In the mid 90's his main interest was focused on collage, using various processes to corrode and disintegrate fragments of paper, already verging towards the limits of perception. In the next decade, shifting his focus to music, he ran the music label ini.itu, also taking the responsibility for the sleeve design of the vinyls. In the winter of 2013 he launched the E42.A8 sessions, based on improvisation in a remote area. About the same period, starting to develop electronic instruments and the need of visualising transformations brought by algorithms paradoxically led him again to the visual arts, augmented by the know-how of now being able to develop his own homemade graphic softwares. His main interests now lie in the themes of processual transformations, (un)readability, interactions betweeen form and meaning, alterations of alphabets ( including braille ) and the exploration of labyrinth design
