Twagirumukiza is a self-taught painter and sculptor originally from Rwanda who has been living and working in France since 1994. He does not align with any particular artistic movement and employs various techniques such as painting, collage, paper mâché, and metalwork. The artwork presents a captivating visual exploration of human nature. Through geometric shapes and vibrant colors, it symbolizes the various dimensions of humanity, ranging from its strengths to weaknesses, from emotions to aspirations. In this captivating canvas, we are invited to contemplate the very essence of human life. The artist skillfully captured the idea that each individual is the master of their own destiny, capable of shaping their own story. Every path drawn by the white line and every shade of color on the canvas seem to reflect this fundamental truth. They evoke the power of choice, free will, and creativity in our lives. One could almost believe that a higher force is guiding us through the labyrinths of our existence. This artwork encourages us to meditate on our ability to sketch the outlines of our own life, influence our actions, and forge our personal reality. It thus celebrates the freedom of decision and the splendor that resides in the creative power of each individual.

🇬🇧 Passionate about sculpture and painting, I developed my own technique in a self-taught way. I started to exhibit my works to the public during my law studies at the Panthéon Sorbonne University, where I discovered the pleasure of sharing my artistic vision. In 2004, after obtaining my law degree, I deepened my knowledge of sculpture at the Heatherley School of Fine Art in London. Back in France, I continued to train at the Ateliers des Beaux Arts de the city of Paris in 2015, while continuing my artistic creation. I sculpt with different mediums: wood, clay, stone, paper. I let the final shape of the work reveal itself through the sculpting process. I compose my works with several objects, sometimes sculpted at different times. I assemble them harmoniously to express an idea, a feeling, a movement or a sound.
