ABOUT THE ARTWORK

During Covid I created a series of ideas relating to well being. The results were a group of meditations. Here I am using Japanese gampi paper and hand printing a super saturated blue similar to a Klein Blue... in the studio I call it magic blue. I have mounted the fragile gampi to a second piece of archival paper for durability. I was inspired by a book of meditations called Tantra song. Like those seen in the book, I leave the edges rough hewn and include a couple of moments of chine collé or collage to give small pops of cadmium red and a pale pink. In total this is a large statement piece measuring 60" wide by 73.5" tall. The blue is light absorbing and truly draws the viewer in. Such a large scale work lends to creating a dynamic and smart atmosphere. This piece comes unframed. I would recommend a float frame in a natural wood color. These are a limited edition of 12 - signed, titled and dated. Thank you for your time and consideration of my work.
