ABOUT THE ARTWORK
If you look closely, there are lady bugs at the ends of the girl's hair which represent good luck and protection. I also drew her eyes closed to imply peace and a dreamy state of mind. It serves as a reminder to dream and that good things come when you're simply yourself. The title was inspired by the play "Pygmalion", which tells a story of a man who attempts to transform a girl into a proper lady. This, of course, juxtaposes the meaning of this piece with that of the play. Also, the title is a play on the words themselves since the focus for me is on the lady bugs and what they represent. That brings me to the question: Is the lady (bug), or in other words, "luck" fair? Frame Details: Black finish 1.125" moulding Hanging hardware is pre-attached MDF and glass
