This series is based on my interest in nature - specifically the symmetry, repetition and pattern found everywhere around us - from the nautilus to our own human bodies. I am interested in exploring these basic concepts to create unique and beautiful forms that allude to networks, intersections and relationships. By layering and repeating, the juxtaposition of these forms brings about a tension that I find compelling. Initially inspired by the color theories and work of Josef Albers and the OP Art work of the 1960's, the first pieces were traditional oil paintings on canvas. However, as I explored the series further, I found that introducing digital techniques has allowed for greater versatility and precision as well as a more interesting and complex image. This is a professionally printed high quality Archival Giclee print signed and numbered. The edition is for this size only. It does not include a frame.
