ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This is part of series that I titled Plan B. Each piece has elements from previous work that was dismantled and mixed into something new. I was inspired to do the series because of the Anne Herbert quote “Practice random acts of kindness and senseless acts of beauty” from her essay Handy Tips on how to behave at the death of the World and this quote from Ninth Street Women “[Hans] Hofmann taught them that the artist’s responsibility to society, especially during dark times, was to preserve, nurture, and glorify the human spirit.” I want this work to make you smile.
