Plunging to a better life A vivid collage that features a chaotic blend of colours and patterns, with a distorted figure in the middle diving into what is the unknown waters. Different textures and shapes are juxtaposed to create a sense of depth and disarray. There are times when many people tend to look at the daily news with a trembling eye. Besides many of the activities in this world are the numerous forms of catastrophes that encircle us these days. The various armed conflicts between two warring factions dot the map, people are suffering from the effect of the natural catastrophes due to the climate change while others burdened by the financial problems due to a global inflation. All of this has led to a migration of the populations creating the refugee incident that disrupts the stability of many nations. Desperate people travel from one land to another driven by some glimmer of hope and desire for a better life. But none of them are aware of the hurdles and dangers confronting them on this journey. For me, this virtual drama interposed with the hidden harsh realities led to the choice of an abstract paper collage to illustrate this ephemeral vision of the hope for a better life in the future. Born 1954 India Now have my art studio in Angers in France.Have been painting and etching for more than 25 years. My inspiration comes from my working experience with S.W.Hayter and other contemperory artists like Krishna Reddy. Now do mainly digital works like painting and printmaking. For this I have developed a new form of new media prints using digitalized technique and maroufled onto a heavy art paper of at least 300 gms. After the transfer by marouflage of the printed artwork onto the heavy art paper it is once again worked on by the artist to obtain the art effect and printed in a limited edition of 8 prints + 1 artist's proof, with signature and number. The paintings also are digital works on art paper that has been maroufled onto a canvas that is signed by me. All work is done by me in my personal art studio in Angers in France. The work is mostly inspired from my ramblings in the countryside and the sensation or feelings thus produced which I try to share with the spectators of my works.
