Marco Angelini (Rome, 1971) lives and works between Rome and Warsaw. A graduate in Sociology, he has focused his attention on the study of the urban phenomenon, exploring the cultures and subcultures that take shape in contemporary metropolises. Cities, with their layers and contradictions, represent for the artist a privileged setting where unconscious drives confront the opportunities offered by technology, becoming an ideal habitat for the paradoxes of human existence. His artistic research spans multiple themes: from the relationship between nature and technology, to the concepts of time and memory; from interreligious dialogue to the dimension of the sacred; and to the intersections between art and science, energy and sustainability. Abstraction proves to be the most suitable expressive form to convey a fluid poetics, in constant transformation, that leaves space for subjective interpretation and the perception of multiple realities. Angelini does not seek to direct the viewer’s gaze, but rather to stimulate an intimate encounter with the work, which becomes a mirror of the soul and a device for inner projection. The artist attributes a strong social value to art, capable of generating awareness and opening new horizons of communication, sharing, and collective reflection.
