The artwork explores the dynamics of information and the ways it is transmitted and filtered within contemporary mass media. At the center of the composition stands an old television set, from whose screen images and streams of content seem to burst outward, suggesting the constant invasion of infor...

•About Me – Personal Statement My practice is a form of breathing. I grew up drawing before I learned how to explain myself in words. Long before I understood language, I understood line, shape, rhythm, sound, and silence. Drawing became my first way of listening to life, of translating inner movement into visible form. Since then, every work has been a continuation of this dialogue between what is felt and what can be seen. I create because this is how I exist in the world. My work explores the intersection of realism, surrealism, abstraction, figuration, and symbolic language, searching for spaces where meaning is not fixed, but fluid. I am interested in the moment when perception shifts — when the eye hesitates, when the image becomes a threshold between the visible and the invisible. Through layered forms, depth volumes, anamorphoses, and optical tensions, I invite the viewer to question what seems stable and to enter a state of quiet awareness. My works carry fragments of inner landscapes: emotions, states of mind, memories, psychological meanings, social aspects, awareness, introspection, and unspoken questions. I see art as a sensory language — a way of making sound visible and color audible, of translating feeling into structure, and structure into experience. Each piece is an invitation to slow down, to look again, and to discover one’s own reflection within the image. Growing up in a family of artists, where the home was also a studio — filled with projects in progress, and ideas in movement — taught me that creation is not an act separated from life, but a way of living itself, and it shaped my inner world deeply. Belonging to the Zigman family, where each of us is a visual artist, taught me freedom, discipline, curiosity, and courage. This environment strengthened my confidence and my desire to build my own universe of expression. My work emerges from this continuity — between inner world and outer form, between personal experience and shared perception. As long as there are eyes to see and minds to wander, I will continue to build spaces where emotion, thought, and image can meet. •Professional Profile Alice-Helen Zigman is a multidisciplinary visual artist, art director, and multimedia designer, with over 17 years of professional experience leading creative projects across a wide spectrum of visual communication and design disciplines.
