Veronica Dragnef is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Canada. Born in Romania and shaped by a totalitarian past, her work explores themes of migration, memory, material culture, and identity through a blend of abstraction, storytelling, and found objects. A self-taught artist with a background in economics, Dragnef's practice is both research-based and deeply intuitive. Her work has been supported by the Canada Council for the Arts and recognized with several prizes. She has exhibited internationally, including at the Brownsville Museum of Fine Arts (USA) and the Biennale Hors Normes in Lyon (France). Known for her conceptual approach and visual wit, Dragnef’s art often blurs the line between personal ritual and political reflection.
