This work is about self-renewal, getting rid of all burdens, starting over and deleting all the bad memories, mistakes negative toughts. It's about being upright again. There is a lot of negativity loaded on women. In this work, the woman undressed and took off all the negativities she had experienced, the spiral traces standing on the ground are the past memories belonging to her, just like the rings inside of a tree. They are symbolizing past life, memories and rebirth and now she is ready for a new and fresh start. I hope you feel the energy of this work. It is framed and ready to hang

I grew up in İzmir Turkey. All my childhood, I was fascinated by the magnificent textile products,embroideries and paintings that my grandmother and aunt produced from fabrics and yarns. I learned how to use them at a very young age. In my works,I try to combine the traditional techniques with contemporary ones. I like adding fabrics that belong to my childhood, mixing them with hand embroidery, natural dye, photography, paint and more. I mostly get inspired from my childhood, dreams and personal experiences
