"Resistance of the Poppies" draws inspiration from the evocative words of Persian poet Sohrab Sepehri, "As long as there are poppies, one must live on," and the hopeful proclamation by Lady Bird Johnson, "Where flowers bloom, so does hope." This piece beautifully symbolizes life, love, hope, and resilience through the imagery of poppies growing from a base of animal bones. The juxtaposition of vibrant 3D resin flowers with the stark, skeletal remains underscores the transformative power of resilience and renewal. Mounted on a wooden base, the piece captures the enduring strength and beauty that can arise even in the face of death and despair, offering a visual representation of hope's persistence amidst adversity.

I'm Diba, with a degree in architecture, residing in Connecticut. I'm a contemporary artist, focusing on creating sculpture paintings. For as long as I can remember, I have used my creativity as a way to cope with challenging days. I used to refer to my hands as "magical hands," and believing in that magic helped me navigate through dark times when life seemed overwhelming and trust was scarce. Later, while searching for my life's path, I asked myself, "How can I share this gift?" Exploring my identity and roots, I found inspiration in the way my ancestors lived. The women who walked before me used the water of rivers, warmth of the sun, and herbs of the soil for healing. Their "healing hands" stemmed from a belief in seeking assistance from Mother Nature and caring for the earth to ensure its sustenance. With a heartfelt intent, I founded DibaCreations to create art pieces capturing the healing energy of nature. These pieces aim to provide solace for those experiencing days akin to my darker moments—those feeling sadness, anger, and pain beyond their control. Take these pieces of Mother Earth to your "safe places" and "healing spaces" to infuse light and peace into your lives and souls. Additionally, by supporting eco-friendly charities, I contribute to giving back to nature.
