This piece lives in the delicate space between fragility and strength. Inspired by the philosophies of Kintsugi and Sashiko, I embrace the fracture as part of the landscape and reinforce the surface with a geometry of protection. Each stitch acts as a rhythmic amulet—a reminder that true structure ...

I am a visual artist and educator whose work is a constant dialogue between the past and the present. With a professional background in Fashion Design, I have transitioned from the structural world of textiles to the expressive freedom of mixed media. My art is deeply rooted in the philosophy of Kintsugi—the beauty of precious scars—and the concept of 'mending' as a form of resilience. My creative process is a tactile exploration of organic textures. I work with hand-painted rice paper strata, corrugated layers, and stones, creating a sense of geological and emotional depth. While some of my pieces feature meticulous hand-embroidery as a symbol of connection, others rely on the raw beauty of the materials themselves. As an instructor, I lead Mixed Media and Experimental Painting workshops, sharing my passion for texture and history with a community of creators. My background in Art History and my training at the National Museum of Watercolor inform my use of color and composition. I seek to capture the harmony of shared stories, turning each layer, stone, and stitch into a sanctuary of strength.
