As visual artist, my practice blends the tactile qualities of textiles with the vivid emotions of paint, creating a dialogue between tradition and modernity. Currently, I use traditional crafts like weaving, macrame, crochet, knitting and sewing to connect with handmade artistry and fence heritage. Integrating these techniques, I explore the intersections of art, craft and design. My painting process is guided by intuition and the happy accidents that occur along the way. I embrace this fluidity in my textile work as well, resulting in organic and sinuous shapes. I seek equilibrium and serenity throughout the process, while remaining mindful of nature’s duality. I transform raw materials into harmonious pieces that innovate traditional techniques. My work aims to celebrate and preserve the rich heritage of craft communities, bridging the gap between the traditional and the contemporary.
