My mind considered the link to a metaphysical plane, where reality is questioned and my thoughts of floating or falling in my dreams. The image depicts a person floating as if in a dream state which was inspired by my enjoyment of floating in water to aid in relaxation and temporarily escape from the world, and the silence experienced when semi submerged in water. The watered down acrylic paint has warped the paper and gives the feeling that the image is in motion. The paint pooled naturally and unpredictably and then dried to create beautiful organic swirls and currents. Themes of water are consistent throughout my art.
