My artwork revolves around the themes of ancient Chinese Taoist philosophy. At the core of Taoist philosophy are concepts such as "Wu Wei" (effortless action), "Ziran" (naturalness), and the unity of all things. It emphasizes returning to one's authentic self. In line with these ideas, the materials I use for my creations are often rooted in nature, including mineral pigments that I make myself from stones and soil collected in both Japan and China. I also incorporate silver leaf, which changes color over time, and gold leaf, which remains unchanging, to reflect the paradoxical relationship between the transient passage of time and the eternal nature of the soul (or energy). Currently, I am based in Japan and actively pursuing my career as an artist. Starting next year, I plan to expand my artistic activities to France.
