Albrecht tries to portray several concepts in this work: The difference between men and women, the power of women over men and mysticism. A key concept in Albrecht's work is strategic positioning: Albrecht postulates that the human eye is automatically drawn to sexual images. By transforming their normal position however, they get a very different meaning. Instead of drawing attention they support another image. In this case the rather bland medieval alchemy symbol. This theme of transformation has a double funtion since alchemy is a subject on transformation itself. This is echoed again in the fact the women is pinching breastmilk which might be seen as a temporary alchemical process within the female body. Another of Albrecht's key concepts is Wabi-Sabi: In traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi (侘寂) is a world view centered on the acceptance of transience and imperfection. The aesthetic is sometimes described as one of beauty that is "imperfect, impermanent, and incomplete". By strategically trapping the breast and the alchemical images between the harsh geometric lines, Albrecht juxtaposes the fragility of women and the ancient world with today's modern society which is dominated by a dehumanising sense perfection.
