About The Artwork

The object is made of canvas, a wooden subframe,3D printed hands, mechanism that manually moves the hands. As a default, Street Lights switch to green-yellow-red every 10 secs. Tesla’s hands can be manually moved by the mechanism installed on the side of the subframe. If hands are moved apart and wires do not touch each other, street lights switch off until hands are moved back together. Brightness is adjustable via dimmer. To perceive this interactive art object in three dimensions, watch: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xXHtrufrBK0&ab_channel=giorgigagoshidze Concept: Street lights represent a systemic model of governance. They allow or prohibit us from taking specific actions or simply make us wait without answering. According to this system, humans may belong to three categories: Those who abide by the street light rules, those who set the rules, and those who do not obey systemic orders. The latter can interact with the system, suddenly change their decisions and create their own rules. The presented collection allows spectators to define which category they belong to.
