From the series "MORPHS" After completing a series of 50 highly detailed, realistic oil paintings, the artist is now dedicating herself to the study of form. With harmonious color compositions and creative combinations of geometric elements and textile patterns, Tanja Hirschfeld creates oil paintings that speak of yearnings. In times of rapid technological development and political instability, Hirschfeld responds intentionally to the current state of the world with clarity and order in her new series. With an inner desire for minimalism and meditative, handcrafted work, she creates motifs that are reminiscent of divination cards. In doing so, she points out the observation that society increasingly turns to religion and esotericism to find stability during times of unrest. The works bear titles such as "Queen of Growth," "Woman of Wings," and "Ace of Clubs." For example, we can recognize an Elvis-like figure in a kimono-like garment, casually holding a cigarette in their mouth, or a couple with the title "Per Sempre," who seem forever bound together by their clothing. These are examples of themes of longing for freedom and security.
