HE RECEIVED A BA GRAPHIC DESIGN (1990) FROM THE UNIVERSITY GRAPHIC LYCEUM, EINDHOVEN A MA VISUAL ARTS (1993) FROM THE UNIVERSITY OF THE ARTS, UTRECHT. SINCE 2010 HE HAS LIVED AND WORKED IN SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA. HIS BODY OF WORK IS A DIARY OF EXPLORATIONS INFORMED BY EVENTS IN HIS PERSONAL LIFE. HUMANITY IS HIS THEME ACROSS ALL WORKS. OFTEN IN THE CONTEXT OF BELONGING, DOUBT, TRAUMA, LOSS, GRIEF AND MIGRATION. HIS CONSISTENT AUTHENTIC AESTHETIC IS DEFINED BY DISCARDED DEBRI, FOUND BY SCAVENGING THE STREETS. THE CHARACTER OF TATTERED CLOTHS AND STAINED FABRICS, OLD TIMBER, VINTAGE PHOTOGRAPHS CAPTURE THE SUFFERING, PAIN, GRIEF AND MOURNING OF PEOPLE WHO EXPERIENCING THE LACK OF BELONGING. HIS WORK IS TURNING THESE EMOTIONS INTO EXPRESSIONS OF BEAUTIFUL DECAY. HE EMBRACED THE ART POVERA MOVEMENT AND ADMIRES ARTISTS LIKE CHRISTO, BOLTANSKI, KIEFER, SALCEDO AND LAWRENCE CARROLL.
