ABOUT THE ARTWORK

For the last 2 years I have been living on the shores of the Mediterranean Sea and every day I admire its incredible color. I am a watercolor painter, but I wanted to "freeze" the memory of the Mediterranean with epoxy resin. These artworks is like one of the beaches. The coast is made of real sand, shells and dried (and stabilized) algae. The sea is made of epoxy resin. Waves are made in several layers, volumetric. The artwork is framed and ready to hang. Set of 3 original artwork: ● Total size whole triptych: 105 x 35 cm ● Size of each part: 35 х 35 cm ● The artworks is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity signed by Delnara El.

My name is Natalia (Delnara is my creative pseudonym). I'm from Ukraine. I'm a full-time artist, my passion is painting and travel. For seven years I traveled to different countries of Europe and Asia continuously, lived and painted for a long time in different cities. Right now I’m reevaluating my artistic practices and all those experiences and impressions I got while travelling. I’m working on a new series, using the polysemy of the concept of “migration”, while trying to find new facets of the multicultural and multiethnic society. I use a dynamic worldview, rejection of a settled way of life and migration as tools to re-actualise my “mental map”, as a way to see more clearly and get rid of automatic perception. Being a nomad used as a cognitive tool in the artistic field allows space for miracles and manifestations of life itself.
