ABOUT THE ARTWORK
My grandfather was a. baker in a fancy neighbor hood in Copenhagen. And I have always been fascinated by the skills he did when decorating a cake. The concentration and steady handwork. So my work is a tribute to him and his skills. I did a very simple shape with a single twist, making it look 3 dimensional. And there are attached a laser cut wallhanging at both ends, so it can be turned around. And it can also stand in a corner, touching a window or other things with one or both sides. I often work with matte and glossy together. So the decoration is matte and the resin in the small lines are a blank aspect to catch your eyes when you move around the piece.

Danish artist and pattern designer. My paintings are hand shaped, CNC cut or laser cut mdf/plywood in my shared studio. Sometimes I add epoxy for the shine and matte look together. I don't think it is hip to be square, so my wall hangings are always shaped.. That can also be handy, since they can fit in different places, like between two close doors. I always add some A5 cards with my pattern design with purchases.
