From the series "Unfinished/ Finished" - Unfinished paintings by famous artists are finished, finally for now, maybe.... The unfinished painting in 1884 by John Singer Sargent is a study for the finished ‘Portrait of Mme Gautreau’ also known as "Madame X" that hangs in the Met . The sitter was Virginie Avengo, wife of Pierre Gautreau, and was famous for her beauty in Paris society. The unfinished study appears to resemble the finished portrait in every respect so far as pose and setting are concerned, but of course the finished painting in 2023 does not at all. Inkjet-printed with archival pigment inks - 100% cotton, Acid-free, pH-neutral Fine Art paper - Estimated turnaround time of 3-5 Days - Shipping included directly from the printer Oil painting, ink drawing, pencil and collage elements are integrated in a digital environment with digital painting/ drawing. Representational/ realistic and non representational/ abstract images flow from one to the other, gradually or abruptly, in an undefined space.
