Alex grew up between Switzerland and Italy. He was known for his photorealist perspectives and building illustrations from the 1970s to the 1980s, particularly his meticulous vision of architectural drawings. Architect, educator, and architecture illustrator based in South Australia. Architecture representation is my passion. I find enjoyment when representing architecture through sketches, painting, and architectural drawing techniques. The ‘Elusive’ aspects of the representation of subjects as well of -URBAN VISION - to which I apply my artistic inclination and my personal experience as an architect are my Architectural Illustrations. This is where I alter reality by manually correcting and/or juxtaposing images, trying to achieve an interaction between photography, drawing, and illustration. In my design and architecture, I approach design as art and art as a project, creating strange contamination between painting and architecture as well as photographs, creating provocative concepts such as computerized Craftsmanship to represent the vision of the cities. I combine traditional manual techniques, methods, and digital painting to produce my work. I believe the art of allusiveness, or suggestion moves us as humans and feeds our spirit.
