Dark walnut silhouettes of women in pin-up poses set against the backdrop of purity and lace. This piece is constructed on a reclaimed board topped with table linens that set the tableaux. This unique work is the 5th panel in the series 'We Women', which walks through the lifespan of archetypical women. The journey begins with the first panel denoting the vitality and exuberance of young women before they are shaped by cultural dictates. The story continues though the varied complexities of coming of age in western culture. The final panel of 'We Women' celebrates mature individuals who have made it through the journey triumphant, retaining or regaining their birthright; owning their autonomy, desires and power.
