Belair belongs to his time as much as to past and future times, because the essence of his work appertains to philosophical and mathematical concepts and principles. Exploring the notions of perfection and imperfection, perception and reality, he challenges our deepest, most primitive convictions. Adopting different styles, techniques and media, he attaches utmost importance to artistic freedom. “I mainly do abstract oil and acrylics paintings, pop art and digital art, but I have way too many ideas to only stick to those.” Among his latest works, a unique and colorful “Guitarnikov” and a collection about universal constants such as Pi and the golden ratio. “When you look at maths, you look at the universe, its code, its recipe. You feel something powerful, you experience truth.”
