- My inspiration is the butterfly with its beautiful, multi-colored wings as it soars. - I hope the recipient feels the freedom of movement, the beauty of the colors, and the achievement of contrast. - I used the mosaic technique for the beauty of its colors and its special brilliance to achieve the executed design.

The Egyptian-Turkish artist, Nermin Gomaah, was born in Alexandria, where she still lives. The city has been her source of inspiration since childhood, which made her draw everything she saw: the sea and sand, scenes of children playing and building sand houses, and the shapes and colors of nature such as shades of blue, orange, beige and green. Since childhood, Nermin loved everything handmade, especially drawing and Painting. She joined the Faculty of Fine Arts at Alexandria University, specialized in Oil Painting and Mural Painting, studied all its techniques and obtained a bachelor's degree. During her studies for her master's and doctorate, Nermin traveled to Turkey several times and joined a university in Istanbul, where she studied the art of Byzantine mosaics and Ottoman ceramic tiles executed in a very special style. Her art was influenced more and more by Turkish culture, especially the Ottoman era with its unique floral designs and the spiritual culture of the dervishes, and found its way into her drawings and paintings, whether oil paintings, mosaics or ceramics. The Ottoman Empire also influenced her MA and PhD degrees from Alexandria University While studying art history, especially ancient Egyptian art, Nermin Gomaah was fascinated by Pharaonic jewelry, its rich details and attractive colors. She created many artworks using manufactured and natural materials, accessory units, etc. to produce various pieces of art Last but not least, Nermin is a mural artist and photographer who has created many works on walls, floors and ceilings using different materials and techniques, including oil paints, mosaics, glass, etc. She became the head of the Painting department at the Faculty of Arts and Design at Pharos University and obtained the rank of assistant professor from Pharos University
