3 times 5 (Uç Carpı Beş) III Painting

Kevin conceived the motif of six related lines in a series of drawings that might, in theory, be the largest rectilineal canvas that could be worked within his studio. He says that getting a work of size 3 x 5 metres out of the studio building would be the only real problem, but one that could be overcome by lowering the rolled canvas out of a window to be re-stretched elsewhere. The title is in Turkish because the first two painted manifestations of 3 time 5 where made in Istanbul and were on exhibition there at the Dedeman Hotel. 3x5, 3 times 5 (Uç Carpı Beş) lll & lV, painted in his London studio, are worked respectively in dry pigment and black house paint.
