About The Artwork
Moody and magnificent. It had been a misty morning on the 19th of September, so, fingers crossed, I sat on the sea wall on the Cleave in Kingsand with my sketchbook and watercolour pad and sketched a study, supported by some distance camera shots, plus memory and painted this panorama in my Studio. The soft edges and bright sun burning off the September morning mist was not to be missed. The bonus being RNA Albion on a Naval buoy awaiting a spot in Devonport adds to the vista. Pleased I captured it and pleased with the broad border and the colour breakout, bottom right...hence the 'Breakout Series'...more to follow. And my hand-made canvas board. Thank you.
