The central woman represents Madeleine Lebeau, above her is Barbara Steele. These two characters arise from the scene of the harem of the movie ' 8 1/2 " of Fellini, whose story tells the life of a depressive film-maker fleeing the world of the cinema and taking refuge in a universe populated with memories and with fantasies. Both actresses are surrounded by protists, organisms from animal or vegetable origin that live in water whose study has inspired scientists to formulate the theory of Red Queen. To protect itself from its predator, the protist "disappears" in the eyes of their pathogenic. As the strategy of the " Cat of Cheshire ". This cat philosopher’s novel " Alice in the Wonderland " by Lewis Carroll, escapes to the order of beheading of the Queen of Heart by returning his body trasparent, leaving only its derisive smile appear. Flames represent the divine power, but also the power of the evil. Fire is also a symbol of purification, eroticism, passion, affectivity and feelings. Below this scene there is a stencil of the Christ the Redeemer orchestrating the fantasies of Kim Novak, represented at the bottom of canvas, in a pose from the movie 'vertigo’ by Hitchcock. The trees that surround women are a reinterpretation of the Tree of Life by Klimt. Inside the collages are newspaper articles by Republica daily paper reminding the plight of thousands of African immigrants on the island of Lampedusa in Sicily. The article shows the route for illegal immigrants reaching the island, risking their lives. Once arrived in the crowed refugee center, they often suffer humiliations, violence and abuses. In this collage there is a mirror which invites the viewer into questioning. Below on the right you can notice three stencils representing some maffiosos: the first one is a recruiter responsible to integrate teenagers into crime. The central character is a gangster involved in the scandal of filth in Naples. The lower right stencil represents a maffioso who was in a clan which take part of a war against another mafia family for the ownership of a drug delivery platform. Stencils were inspired by the movie ' Gomorra ' which deals with the neapolitan organized crime " Camorra " in the districts of Naples.

My work is essentially based on the use of the unconscious, dreams, and imagination. I express the real functioning of thought. I consider my work as a search for the union of the real and dreamlike. Part of the process creation is linked to an automatic writing and drawing to escape the constraints of logic and letting them express the unconscious inner voice. Music, surrealism, film and African art are constant sources of my inspiration. Their influence has improved my research to establish a better representation of my spiritual universe. My paintings are full of symbols that I use in the same way like language. It is a living language constantly changing. Symbols allow me to express life in all its forms. I exploit themes such as love, dreams, death, violence, ... To summarize, I am inspired by everyday life, man, its history, its evolution ... The unconscious guides me in my creations. My compositions are made freely through the combination of spontaneous ideas.
