ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This plein air painting was made primarily in situ. My working method is to spread my large canvas on the ground and over the course of multiple sessions build up the image. Between sessions, the canvas is rolled so it can be easily moved. The medium is oil paint and oil stick. Later the painting was stretched and adjusted in the studio to work best within the boundaries of the stretchers. It was exhibited at the Outdoor Art Fair in Setauket NY.The painting has been stretched on 1" stretchers and the margins have some paint markings on them.The painting will be sent rolled (unstretched). Stretcher bars are not included.
