ABOUT THE ARTWORK
There is nothing more dynamic than the sky at sunset and sunrise. This piece was inspired by a photograph taken of the sunset at Lake Albert near my home in Wagga. As soon as I saw it I needed to paint it and knew it had to be bold and dramatic and only oils would do. Its not for the faint hearted as it is a big statement piece but would bring drama to any room. *Please note it will need about 3-4 weeks drying time as it is fresh off my easel. Ready Feb 2020. MEDIUM This statement piece was created using artist quality oil paint and is on gallery wrapped stretched canvas. It is signed and has a certificate of authenticity.

I am an Australian artist based in the Riverina area in New South Wales Australia. My art is big and bold and focuses on colour and the impact of light and shade. I am by nature an impressionist who paints for a feeling rather than strict realism but I do branch out when inspired! I work in both acrylics and oils and my art is recognizable both by the pallete and brushstrokes I use. My interest lies in the area of colour and colour mixing and to push myself I generally work with a restricted palette of three colours and white. I am inspired by the works of Monet, Van Gogh, Turner and Picasso while the depiction of light and shade in the works of Renoir and Degas make my hearty sing. My work is currently held in collections internationally and I regularly participate in shows and exhibitions in Australia.
