This piece was inspired by a drive in the Wicklow Mountains two years ago. That year was one of the most difficult times I had to navigate through. Like a lamb struggling to keep up with the herd.

Fiona Si Hui (pronounced xih-hway) was born in 1996 and is an Irish-Chinese artist currently based in Dublin, Ireland. She initially pursued a BA in 3D Games Art at the University of Hertfordshire but later returned to her original passion for fine art. Her artistic journey began in 2018 and has led to exhibitions in both Ireland and the UK. Fiona's art is an emotional exploration, crafting soft, layered ethereal portraits inspired by a wide range of human emotions. She's deeply influenced by the concept of impermanence, emphasizing life's fleeting and ever-changing nature. Memories, fleeting thoughts, and everyday interactions are woven into new visual narratives, reflecting the constant flux of our identity, perception, and memory. Using oil as her preferred medium, Fiona's technique balances observation with a desire to incorporate chaotic elements, resulting in a series of artworks that delve into the intricacies of the human experience.
