A Summer Night By Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin Turkey Oil on Canvas Size: 100 W x 120 H x 3 D cm She was inspired by a night image of her own dream. She inspired by the summer night landscape of a Mediterranean city of her imagination. How much pain and sadness, how much joy and peace together in a city illuminated at night. Perhaps the image of nature and the sea, the aura of this imaginary Mediterranean city, summer nights, joyful laughter and this festive light can heal a sad heart. The first version of this painting was exhibited in her solo exhibition "Memories of D.K.K By Naval Painter Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin" in 2004, along with 28 works she made for the Naval Artist Art Award, at the Harbiye Military Museum / Istanbul / Turkey. She was exhibited once again in the exhibition she participated as the First Turkish Female Sea Painter at the "8 March International Women's Day Exhibition" held in Istanbul Akmerkez in 2008. She moved in a Mediterranean the city that changed the perception and aura of time and made a new version of this painting in 2022. Art areas exhibited in this picture: 2008 International Woman’s day Exhibition - Akmerkez. 2006 Turkish Naval Command Traditional “Sea” Subjected Exhibition, To be Displayed Harbiye Military Museum Harbiye / Istanbul,Goknil Gumus Sungurtekin continued her duty as Bahriye Ressamı - Navy Painter iki for two years, made various works and exhibited her paintings in 2006 at the Turkish Navy Museum and Harbiye Military Museum. Between 2004-2007, she made 30 paintings as a Navy Painter for the Turkish Navy in this project. All the works produced by Navy Painter Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin are permanently exhibited and exhibited in the archives of Turkish Armed Forces and Turkish Navy halls, museums and private collections. Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin, who received the title of Navy Painter and Honorary Major, is The First Turkish Female Naval Painter.
