Abstract #72 Painting

I am an Ukrainian artist currently living in Cyprus. I paint consistently from 2014. My creative process is search for balance between intention and spontaneity in art. Inspired by the paintings of abstract expressionists, I try to combine two main directions of this movement - action painting and color field painting, to find a balance between chaos and order. Color is the driving force in my art. It affects the viewer from the first moment of visual interaction. I work with paint, layering, dividing the color into subtle shades, accentuating, strengthening and weakening, revealing its depth and variety as much as possible. I try to isolate color from the noise around and make it loud. I never feel like I am the only author of the artwork. Also very important is the energy of randomness is in the creative process. I value this partner very much and am always looking for this cooperation. That way I go beyond my imagination and can get something more interesting than what I can create by myself. Using layer-by-layer application of paint on the canvas, I enrich the texture and create a tactile effect. Each layer is like a projection of emotional experience. The most powerful trio of color, texture and rhythm, their connection and balance is the most convincing demonstration of the powerful vitality of painting. In my works, I try to explore the world as energy, not matter. Energy that vibrates, interacts and transforms. I reflect a world that we cannot see, but can feel.
